Don't know how I never came here before as a marin native...Stopped in when in Novato for errands. Corned beef hash was excellent, GF really enjoyed pancake. Portions are very generous. Old school, bustling diner vibe with lots of tchotchkes which I love. Service was very friendly but took a while to get somebody. In fairness, they warn about that on the menu. Overall, very enjoyable and will return.

Great place for breakfast. Staff helpful and accommodating with wheelchair. Food excellent. Great breakfast joint. Defo recommend.

My week doesn't feel complete without a visit to this small-town gem. Nicole and Chuck run an amazing place, and their killer team keeps everything moving when days get busy. I can't recommend Marvin's enough. Try the Julia Benedict!

It's the best breakfast I've ever had. Never disappointed, it's always worth the wait. The chicken fried steak is one of my top 3 favorite foods of all time, the eggs Benedict is amazing, the pancakes and french toast are great.... Honestly this place doesn't miss. I've been coming here for 20 years now

Passing through on a week long business trip I found this unique breakfast spot. Lucky to find a table and served by a wonderful waitress that mentioned she's been there over 20 years. Great food (try the Hash) and great atmosphere. You won't leave hungry.

One of the best American breakfasts we have had post Covid. High quality ingredients, fair prices. Obviously a local institution. The eggs Benedict were well prepared, as was the omelet and home fries. Service was fast and friendly.

Marvin's is a welcome one-of-a-kind spot on Grant Ave. in Novato. Nearly always busy (except for first morning hours) Marvin's is a long- term family-owned operation, The family works there along with several long-time staff. Inside, there are some tables and a counter around the grill. The air conditioning works great! Outside is more spacious and for breakfast, brunch or lunch (W-Su) it simply can't be beat. Both the service and food are extraordinary. Huge (easily splittable) portions - no charge for the split) and delicious preparations of just about everything you can imagine and more. My wife and I have recently been splitting the Farmer's Scramble- chocked full of mushrooms, spinach, avocado, tomatoes and the cheese of your choice, choice of toast and small cut grilled potatoes with onions. Out of this world! If you like oatmeal, you will find the bowl served up here is the biggest and most perfectly cooked up anywhere. There is simply nothing to complain about. Their grilled veggie sandwich puts all others attempting the same to shame. Marvin's is simply the best of what it offers! Perhaps most importantly, Marvin's has sustained this excellence for many years now- something that can't be said about many other dining spots. We love it and think it's likely that one visit will make a fan out of you.
